Moving to Prunedale with kids -good idea?

Military spouse here. Median household income is $106,442, which feels pretty solid for the area. Household incomes average around $106,442 in Prunedale. With a population of 19,286, Prunedale is a small town. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. What would you do? The city has invested a lot in new development. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value job market, you'll love it. The food scene is genuinely surprisingly good and I've found I have mixed feelings honestly. My neighborhood (Sunset) is reasonable and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Salt Lake City, be prepared for the culture shock. public transit is completely different here. And Nightlife is limited.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.
