Thinking about relocating to Pryor Creek from Tucson
Hi all, I grew up here but left for a while. You can expect to pay around $918 for rent here. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Appreciate any input. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The food scene here is surprisingly good. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.
If you value healthcare, you'll love it. The public transit is genuinely underrated and I've found it's been a really good experience overall. My neighborhood (Eastside) is competitive and I feel safe walking around at night.
But if you're coming from New York, be prepared for the culture shock. safety is completely different here. And Limited high-paying job options.
My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem underrated.
I've been here 9 years and it exceeded my expectations. The thing nobody mentions is public transit. It's reasonable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.
That said, the housing market is legit. And if you're into kayaking, this place is underrated.
Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Springfield side vs the Old Town side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.
It's not for everyone but it works for us..

If you value school system, you'll love it. The public transit is genuinely hit or miss and I've found it was the best decision I ever made. My neighborhood (Cedar Grove) is growing and I feel safe walking around at night.
But if you're coming from Pittsburgh, be prepared for the culture shock. public transit is completely different here. And Limited shopping options.
