What I wish I knew before living in Punta Rassa

Anyone else feel this way? I'm originally from Albuquerque and Homes are going for about $703,900 on average. Rent is about $2,719/month for a decent place. Median household income is $94,318, which feels pretty solid for the area. The median home value here is around $703,900, which is pretty steep. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Cheers. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. I'd say it's better for families than young singles.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem hit or miss.

I've been here 3 years and there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. The thing nobody mentions is community vibe. It's reasonable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the cultural scene is legit. And if you're into camping, this place is solid.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The West side vs the Lakewood side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

No regrets on my end..

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are better than expected, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.
