How is the nightlife in Puyallup?

Longtime lurker here, I've been here for 14 years and Crime rate is something to consider -Puyallup sits at 312.9 per 100K. Poverty rate is 4.7%, which is pretty low. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. What do you all think? The school system varies a lot by neighborhood.

OK I'm going to write a proper review because I've seen too many incomplete answers.

Background: I'm a data analyst, 56, moved here 12 years ago from Atlanta. I've lived in Fairview and Cedar Grove, and traveled to most parts of the metro.

**What I love:**
1. Great outdoor activities nearby
2. Good internet infrastructure
3. Affordable housing options
4. The people are generally better than expected - I found my community within the first year

**What I don't love:**
1. Traffic during rush hour is rough
2. Far from beaches/mountains
3. The traffic situation is affordable and doesn't seem to be improving

**Neighborhoods I'd recommend:**
- Fairview: Great for singles. pretty good vibes, walkable.
- Cedar Grove: More affordable, family-friendly.

**Neighborhoods I'd avoid:**
- Without naming names, stay away from areas east of downtown until you know the city better.

**Cost comparison:**
Coming from Atlanta, everything felt excellent. Rent is about /mo. Groceries are affordable. Gas is competitive. You can live comfortably on $50K-$140K here.

Alright, I'll give you the full rundown since I see a lot of surface-level answers here.

I've been in Eastside for 5 years. Moved from Seattle for a fresh start. Here's my honest, detailed take:

**Housing:**
The market right now is better than expected. We bought in 2018 at k and it's now worth up significantly than that. If you're renting, expect /mo for a decent 3-bed in a safe area. It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts.

**Employment:**
manufacturing is strong here. engineering is hit or miss. If you're remote, you'll love the cost of living. Average salaries are competitive for the area.

**Quality of Life:**
it's exactly what I was looking for. The outdoor scene is decent - we have rivers within easy driving distance. Dining has gotten so much better in the past few years.

**Schools (if relevant):**
Varies hugely by district. Eastside schools are underrated. If you have kids, this should be your number one factor in choosing a neighborhood.

**The Bad:**
I'd be lying if I said everything is great. Not a lot of cultural diversity. Homeless population growing downtown. And food scene can be frustrating.

**Bottom line:**
