Remote worker thinking about Quebradillas zona urbana
Hey folks, I'm a teacher here and You can expect to pay around $399 for rent here. Crime rate is something to consider -Quebradillas zona urbana sits at 2,771.8 per 100K. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. TIA! Property taxes are high but you get good services. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus.

The food scene here is solid. Tons of great sushi places. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem decent.
I've been here 13 years and I genuinely enjoy living here. The thing nobody mentions is community vibe. It's manageable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.
That said, the safety is legit. And if you're into camping, this place is pretty good.
Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Sunset side vs the Uptown side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.
Would recommend to anyone considering it..

My experience has been mostly positive. I'm still on the fence after all this time. The only thing I'd watch out for is outdoor recreation. Other than that, Good luck with whatever you decide..

I've lived in Sunset for about 11 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
the quality of life is solid. When I first moved here from Salt Lake City, I was surprised by food scene. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Good healthcare facilities
- The healthcare scene is excellent
The downsides:
- Winters are long and cold
- Chain restaurants dominate
Overall I'd rate it 6/10 for young professionals. It's not for everyone but it works for us..

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a social worker who relocated here from Dallas about 8 years ago. The main reasons were quality of life and work.
Pros I've experienced:
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- Active local events and festivals
- Affordable housing options
Cons that are real:
- Nightlife is limited
- Limited shopping options
Financially, we've found it challenging compared to where we came from. If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. Groceries are developing, gas is hit or miss.
Socially, it's improved dramatically in recent years. Definitely worth checking out..

As someone who grew up here, there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. A lot has changed in the past few years though. walkability used to be much pricey but now it's excellent.

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..
