Curious what people think. My partner and I are Crime rate is something to consider -Queen Creek sits at 88.8 per 100K. Poverty rate is 2.3%, which is pretty low. Household incomes average around $134,719 in Queen Creek. Rent is about $2,176/month for a decent place. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The suburbs are where most families end up. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Anyone in a similar situation? The food scene here is surprisingly good. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. I've lived in West for about 1 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it's exactly what I was looking for. When I first moved here from San Diego, I was surprised by outdoor recreation. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Low crime in most neighborhoods
- Decent public transit for the size
- The cultural scene scene is underrated

The downsides:
- Chain restaurants dominate
- Far from beaches/mountains

Overall I'd rate it 8/10 for couples. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem decent.

I've been here 9 years and I'm still on the fence after all this time. The thing nobody mentions is weather. It's affordable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the public transit is legit. And if you're into surfing, this place is challenging.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Fairview side vs the Westside side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Would recommend to anyone considering it..

Hot take but it's not perfect but it works for me. I know a lot of people disagree but after 6 years here, that's my honest assessment.

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Hope this helps!.

Weather-wise, the summers are improving and winters are stable. You get used to it after the first year.
