How much do you pay for rent in Quincy?
First post here. I'm a remote worker and It's a a smaller city city with about 39,188 people. The unemployment rate is 2.7%, which is pretty low. Crime rate is something to consider -Quincy sits at 608.2 per 100K. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The weather takes some getting used to. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years.
Pros:
- Good job market
- Good schools
- Good airport connections
Cons:
- Lack of diversity
- Few job opportunities in some fields
- Far from major airports
- Limited cultural events
What neighborhoods would you suggest? Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The weather takes some getting used to. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood.
