Longtime lurker here, I'm a nurse at the local hospital and Poverty rate is 8.8%, which is pretty low. Crime rate is something to consider -Quincy sits at 398.5 per 100K. The unemployment rate is 5.0%, which is about average. Median household income is $95,711, which feels pretty solid for the area. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Am I wrong here? Looking forward to hearing from you all. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The suburbs are where most families end up. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Property taxes are high but you get good services.
