Raceland vs Indianapolis -which is better?

We have two kids and Poverty rate is 10.6%, which is around average. Median household income is $53,328, which feels on the lower side for the area. The median home value here is around $163,100, which is actually reasonable. Household incomes average around $53,328 in Raceland. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The food scene here is surprisingly good. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. TIA! Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a real estate agent who relocated here from San Diego about 12 years ago. The main reasons were work and my partner's job.

Pros I've experienced:
- Low crime in most neighborhoods
- Good healthcare facilities
- Lots of family-friendly activities

Cons that are real:
- Urban sprawl is real
- Homeless population growing downtown

Financially, we've found it solid compared to where we came from. It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. Groceries are growing, gas is hit or miss.

Socially, I love the pace of life here. Feel free to reach out with questions..
