Anyone work in healthcare in Racine?

So, The median home value here is around $158,100, which is actually reasonable. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The city has invested a lot in new development. Am I overthinking this? It's changing fast -some good, some not so much.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a project manager who relocated here from Chicago about 5 years ago. The main reasons were family and cost of living.

Pros I've experienced:
- Strong job market in several industries
- Affordable housing options
- Lots of family-friendly activities

Cons that are real:
- Property taxes are high
- Homeless population growing downtown

Financially, we've found it excellent compared to where we came from. The market is competitive but not impossible. Groceries are affordable, gas is tough.

Socially, it's been a really good experience overall. Happy to answer more specific questions..

Public transit is average here. You'll probably need a car for most things. I genuinely enjoy living here.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a contractor who relocated here from Baltimore about 8 years ago. The main reasons were quality of life and cost of living.

Pros I've experienced:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Good schools in most areas
- Lots of new development happening

Cons that are real:
- Traffic during rush hour is rough
- Not very walkable outside downtown

Financially, we've found it solid compared to where we came from. It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. Groceries are developing, gas is challenging.

Socially, I love the pace of life here. Hope this helps!.
