How much do you pay for rent in Rahway?

Hey, Poverty rate is 3.9%, which is pretty low. With a population of 29,748, Rahway is a smaller city. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The weather takes some getting used to. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 2-bedroom. the quality of life is solid. Compared to Pittsburgh it's decent.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 9 years ago from Tampa and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: The market is competitive but not impossible. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in Maple Ridge. It's pretty good for what you get.

Jobs: The market is wild right now, especially in construction. If you're in marketing you might struggle.

People: Generally better than expected. It took about 14 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: underrated. Tons of options if you like sushi.

It's not for everyone but it works for us..
