How are the schools in Raleigh?
I've been here for 14 years and Household incomes average around $82,424 in Raleigh. Poverty rate is 6.9%, which is pretty low. The median home value here is around $377,800, which seems about average. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Anyone in a similar situation? Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Property taxes are high but you get good services. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. It's changing fast — some good, some not so much. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The city has invested a lot in new development. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. It's not perfect, but the community is solid.
