Weekend activities in Raleigh?

Anyone else feel this way? I've been here for 15 years and Rent is about $1,468/month for a decent place. The unemployment rate is 3.2%, which is pretty low. The city has invested a lot in new development. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Any advice would be great.

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. I love the pace of life here. Internet is tough in most areas.

I've lived in South for about 12 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I have mixed feelings honestly. When I first moved here from LA, I was surprised by school system. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Lots of new development happening
- Affordable housing options
- The outdoor recreation scene is tough

The downsides:
- Limited high-paying job options
- Chain restaurants dominate

Overall I'd rate it 6/10 for young professionals. It's not for everyone but it works for us..

Public transit is decent here. You'll probably need a car for most things. I'm still on the fence after all this time.

Weather-wise, the summers are tough and winters are developing. You get used to it after the first year.
