Anyone else feel this way? We have two kids and Household incomes average around $109,511 in Rancho Cucamonga. The median home value here is around $694,400, which is pretty steep. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. It's changing fast — some good, some not so much. TIA! People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The suburbs are where most families end up. The weather takes some getting used to. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 14 years ago from Phoenix and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: Older homes are where the value is. We're paying /mo for a 4-bed in The Heights. It's hit or miss for what you get.
Jobs: The market is wild right now, especially in legal. If you're in retail you might struggle.
People: Generally solid. It took about 5 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: improving. Tons of options if you like Southern.

I've lived in Downtown for about 1 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
I love the pace of life here. When I first moved here from Charlotte, I was surprised by outdoor recreation. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- Good healthcare facilities
- The dating scene scene is average
The downsides:
- Nightlife is limited
- Limited high-paying job options
Overall I'd rate it 6/10 for singles. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..
