Pros and cons of Rancho Cucamonga after 2 years

OK so My partner and I are It's a a mid-size city city with about 175K people. Homes are going for about $694,400 on average. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. What would you do? Looking forward to hearing from you all. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look.

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want healthcare, then yeah this place is great. But if pet-friendliness matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

I've lived in Greenfield for about 2 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I love the pace of life here. When I first moved here from Boston, I was surprised by weather. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Good schools in most areas
- Low crime in most neighborhoods
- The dating scene scene is challenging

The downsides:
- Bugs and humidity in summer
- Far from beaches/mountains

Overall I'd rate it 5/10 for singles. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

OK I'm going to write a proper review because I've seen too many incomplete answers.

Background: I'm a electrician, 35, moved here 2 years ago from Minneapolis. I've lived in Sunset and Downtown, and traveled to most parts of the metro.

**What I love:**
1. Cost of living is very reasonable
2. Affordable housing options
3. Diverse dining options
4. The people are generally surprisingly good - I found my community within the first year

**What I don't love:**
1. Property taxes are high
2. Chain restaurants dominate
3. The cost of living situation is reasonable and doesn't seem to be improving

**Neighborhoods I'd recommend:**
- Sunset: Great for young professionals. average vibes, walkable.
- Downtown: More affordable, family-friendly.

**Neighborhoods I'd avoid:**
- Without naming names, stay away from areas east of downtown until you know the city better.

**Cost comparison:**
Coming from Minneapolis, everything felt better than expected. Rent is about /mo. Groceries are growing. Gas is competitive. You can live comfortably on $70K-$130K here.

**Final verdict:**
Give it a chance - it might surprise you.. It's not perfect - nowhere is - but for the price point and quality of life, it's hard to beat. DM me if you have specific questions.

I've lived in Oak Park for about 9 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it's improved dramatically in recent years. When I first moved here from Salt Lake City, I was surprised by dating scene. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Decent public transit for the size
- The nightlife scene is underrated

The downsides:
- Traffic during rush hour is rough
- Road conditions need improvement

Overall I'd rate it 7/10 for young professionals. Happy to answer more specific questions..

I've lived in South for about 8 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. When I first moved here from Dallas, I was surprised by weather. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- Decent public transit for the size
- The safety scene is tough

The downsides:
- Limited public transit options
- Road conditions need improvement

Overall I'd rate it 8/10 for remote workers. No regrets on my end..

Hot take but I genuinely enjoy living here. I know a lot of people disagree but after 4 years here, that's my honest assessment.

Used to live on the West side, now on the Eastside side. Completely different vibe. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now.
