Rancho Cucamonga in the winter — how bad?

Rent is about $2,286/month for a decent place. Poverty rate is 6.7%, which is pretty low. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Appreciate any input. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 9 years ago from Miami and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: The market is competitive but not impossible. We're paying /mo for a 4-bed in Westside. It's tough for what you get.

Jobs: The market is growing right now, especially in marketing. If you're in finance you might struggle.

People: Generally excellent. It took about 12 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: pretty good. Tons of options if you like Italian.

Good luck with whatever you decide..

We moved here with our family and it was the best decision I ever made. Schools in West area are solid. Kids love it here.

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is dating scene. it's improved dramatically in recent years. Worth doing your research before committing.
