Rancho Palos Verdes is underrated, change my mind

Curious what people think. I relocated for work and Crime rate is something to consider -Rancho Palos Verdes sits at 69.1 per 100K. Homes are going for about $1,541,400 on average. Rent is about $3,501/month for a decent place. Poverty rate is 2.4%, which is pretty low. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much.

Pros:
- Good schools
- Diverse community
- Easy commute

Cons:
- Rising rent prices
- Limited dining options
- Boring for young people
Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Property taxes are high but you get good services. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The weather takes some getting used to. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. We moved here with our family and it was the best decision I ever made. Schools in North area are challenging. Kids love it here.

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. I love the pace of life here. Internet is challenging in most areas.

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want walkability, then yeah this place is great. But if housing market matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.
