Not sure if this has been asked before, but Military spouse here. It's a a small town city with about 6,013 people. Poverty rate is 19.8%, which is higher than I expected. Median household income is $52,007, which feels on the lower side for the area. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The suburbs are where most families end up. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The weather takes some getting used to. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The food scene here is surprisingly good. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level.
