So, We're a young couple and Homes are going for about $148,200 on average. Household incomes average around $52,007 in Raton. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The weather takes some getting used to. Anyone in a similar situation? Any help is appreciated. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Property taxes are high but you get good services. I'd say it's better for families than young singles.
