So, Born and raised here. Median household income is $67,227, which feels about average for the area. Crime rate is something to consider -Raytown sits at 691.3 per 100K. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The city has invested a lot in new development.

The food scene here is surprisingly good. Tons of great farm-to-table places. I love the pace of life here.

I'm a HR manager and I've found there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. The community is decent and there's always something going on.

Weather-wise, the summers are hit or miss and winters are growing. You get used to it after the first year.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 1-bedroom. it's improved dramatically in recent years. Compared to Miami it's solid.
