Longtime lurker here, My partner and I are Homes are going for about $184,200 on average. You can expect to pay around $871 for rent here. Crime rate is something to consider -Reading sits at 181.9 per 100K. The city has invested a lot in new development. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look.
