Affordable areas near Reading?

Not sure if this has been asked before, but Homes are going for about $109,800 on average. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Any advice would be great.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 1-bedroom. I have mixed feelings honestly. Compared to Baltimore it's underrated.
