Moving to Red Bank for work -advice?

Curious what people think. The median home value here is around $246,100, which is actually reasonable. Homes are going for about $246,100 on average. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Would love some local perspective.

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, I genuinely enjoy living here. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

Bought a house here in 2023 and it was the best decision I ever made. Property values have gone about the same since then.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a physical therapist who relocated here from Atlanta about 3 years ago. The main reasons were school and a job opportunity.

Pros I've experienced:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Four distinct seasons

Cons that are real:
- Winters are long and cold
- Urban sprawl is real

Financially, we've found it average compared to where we came from. Lots of new construction which should help. Groceries are affordable, gas is excellent.

Socially, it was the best decision I ever made. Definitely worth checking out..
