Raising a family in Red Hill -thoughts?

Anyone else feel this way? I'm a 35-year-old writer and It's a a small town city with about 16,480 people. Rent is about $1,078/month for a decent place. The suburbs are where most families end up. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Should I be concerned?

Came here for my partner's job and stayed because it's been a really good experience overall. The weather is honestly pretty good and I don't see that changing anytime soon.
