Just moved to Red Lion, any tips?

Hey everyone, The median home value here is around $172,000, which is actually reasonable. You can expect to pay around $863 for rent here. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The suburbs are where most families end up. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting.

My experience has been mostly positive. I genuinely enjoy living here. The only thing I'd watch out for is cost of living. Other than that, Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

Hot take but it's exactly what I was looking for. I know a lot of people disagree but after 1 years here, that's my honest assessment.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value walkability, you'll love it. The traffic is genuinely surprisingly good and I've found the quality of life is solid. My neighborhood (The Heights) is growing and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Atlanta, be prepared for the culture shock. public transit is completely different here. And Winters are long and cold.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

Bought a house here in 2021 and I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Property values have gone up a bit since then.

Alright, I'll give you the full rundown since I see a lot of surface-level answers here.

I've been in Pine Hills for 5 years. Moved from Houston for a fresh start. Here's my honest, detailed take:

**Housing:**
The market right now is better than expected. We bought in 2019 at k and it's now worth up a bit than that. If you're renting, expect /mo for a decent 1-bed in a safe area. Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable.

**Employment:**
retail is strong here. marketing is hit or miss. If you're remote, you'll love the cost of living. Average salaries are wild for the area.

**Quality of Life:**
it's not perfect but it works for me. The outdoor scene is excellent - we have lakes within easy driving distance. Dining has gotten so much better in the past few years.

**Schools (if relevant):**
Varies hugely by district. Pine Hills schools are underrated. If you have kids, this should be your number one factor in choosing a neighborhood.

**The Bad:**
I'd be lying if I said everything is great. Limited public transit options. Dating scene is rough. And outdoor recreation can be frustrating.

**Bottom line:**
For singles, I'd say this is a 7/10. Good luck with whatever you decide.. Feel free to ask specific questions - happy to help.

Used to live on the West side, now on the Highland side. Completely different vibe. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now.
