Is Redlands worth moving to in 2026?

Been meaning to ask this. Military spouse here. The median home value here is around $583,000, which is pretty steep. Median household income is $99,158, which feels pretty solid for the area. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Has anyone dealt with this? Night life is decent if you know the right spots.

Weather-wise, the summers are tough and winters are stable. You get used to it after the first year.

I've lived in Downtown for about 13 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. When I first moved here from Baltimore, I was surprised by traffic. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Good schools in most areas
- Affordable housing options
- The dating scene scene is hit or miss

The downsides:
- Urban sprawl is real
- Chain restaurants dominate

Overall I'd rate it 7/10 for remote workers. Definitely worth checking out..
