How are the schools in Redmond?

OK so Born and raised here. With a population of 75,721, Redmond is a smaller city. You can expect to pay around $2,343 for rent here. Homes are going for about $1,091,700 on average. Poverty rate is 3.7%, which is pretty low. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The food scene here is surprisingly good. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Worth the trade-offs? Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The food scene here is surprisingly good. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The city has invested a lot in new development. The weather takes some getting used to. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem underrated.

I've been here 12 years and there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. The thing nobody mentions is food scene. It's competitive and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the community vibe is legit. And if you're into running, this place is tough.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Westside side vs the West side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. No regrets on my end..

I work in manufacturing here and it exceeded my expectations. The job market for my field is challenging. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want food scene, then yeah this place is great. But if outdoor recreation matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

Came here for work and stayed because it's exactly what I was looking for. The pet-friendliness is honestly better than expected and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 4-bedroom. it was the best decision I ever made. Compared to LA it's pretty good.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value walkability, you'll love it. The pet-friendliness is genuinely excellent and I've found there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. My neighborhood (Sunset) is wild and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Baltimore, be prepared for the culture shock. cultural scene is completely different here. And Not very walkable outside downtown.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is housing market. I'm still on the fence after all this time. Worth doing your research before committing.

I've been here 6 years and it's improved dramatically in recent years. The thing nobody mentions is school system. It's affordable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the food scene is legit. And if you're into camping, this place is average.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Downtown side vs the Pine Hills side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Would recommend to anyone considering it..
