Most overrated things about Redwood City

Hi all, My family moved here when I was a kid. The unemployment rate is 2.5%, which is pretty low. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Any advice would be great.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 4-bedroom. the quality of life is solid. Compared to Atlanta it's challenging.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 11 years ago from Houston and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: The market is competitive but not impossible. We're paying /mo for a 1-bed in Greenfield. It's challenging for what you get.

Jobs: The market is developing right now, especially in hospitality. If you're in real estate you might struggle.

People: Generally underrated. It took about 14 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: tough. Tons of options if you like Thai.

Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..
