Working in Redwood City -salaries realistic?

I'm a teacher here and Average temperature is around 57--F, so the weather is moderate. Rent is about $2,959/month for a decent place. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The weather takes some getting used to. Let me know your thoughts. Cheers.

Moved here from Boston about 6 years ago. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Still getting used to cost of living but Would recommend to anyone considering it..
