Longtime lurker here, I'm single, late 50s, and Median household income is $61,947, which feels about average for the area. It's a a small town city with about 5,075 people. The unemployment rate is 0.7%, which is pretty low. Crime rate is something to consider -Redwood Falls sits at 242.4 per 100K. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Would love some local perspective. Thanks! I'd say it's better for families than young singles. I'd say it's better for families than young singles.

I've been living here for 3 years and I'd say I genuinely enjoy living here. The walkability is underrated compared to other places I've lived. Overall Definitely worth checking out..

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 8 years ago from Dallas and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in The Heights. It's excellent for what you get.
Jobs: The market is growing right now, especially in education. If you're in tech you might struggle.
People: Generally solid. It took about 6 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: better than expected. Tons of options if you like Asian.
