First post here. I've been here for 16 years and The unemployment rate is 5.0%, which is about average. Rent is about $773/month for a decent place. Average temperature is around 58--F, so the weather is moderate. Homes are going for about $139,000 on average. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The suburbs are where most families end up. Worth the trade-offs? Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting.
