What to expect moving to Rendon?

Alright, Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Has anyone dealt with this?

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 2-bedroom. it exceeded my expectations. Compared to Boston it's improving.

We moved here with our family and I'm still on the fence after all this time. Schools in Midtown area are average. Kids love it here.

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is food scene. I have mixed feelings honestly. Worth doing your research before committing.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem challenging.

I've been here 10 years and there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. The thing nobody mentions is community vibe. It's affordable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the walkability is legit. And if you're into kayaking, this place is decent.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Oak Park side vs the Pine Hills side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

It's not for everyone but it works for us..

I work in consulting here and I have mixed feelings honestly. The job market for my field is pretty good. Feel free to reach out with questions..

I've lived in Greenfield for about 6 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it's exactly what I was looking for. When I first moved here from Phoenix, I was surprised by school system. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Nice parks and green spaces
- The dating scene scene is average

The downsides:
- Summers can be brutally hot
- Property taxes are high

Overall I'd rate it 7/10 for retirees. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

Came here for weather and stayed because the quality of life is solid. The public transit is honestly underrated and I don't see that changing anytime soon.
