Is Reno good for remote workers?

Anyone else feel this way? I'm retired and The median home value here is around $498,600, which is pretty steep. Poverty rate is 7.4%, which is pretty low. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. It's changing fast — some good, some not so much. Appreciate any input. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The city has invested a lot in new development. The city has invested a lot in new development. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The suburbs are where most families end up. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The weather takes some getting used to. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. I'd say it's better for families than young singles.

Bought a house here in 2023 and the quality of life is solid. Property values have gone up significantly since then.

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are challenging, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.
