What's it really like living in Rexburg?

So, I'm a remote worker and The unemployment rate is 6.0%, which is about average. Average temperature is around 45--F, so bundle up in winter. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Any advice would be great. The city has invested a lot in new development. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The city has invested a lot in new development. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The suburbs are where most families end up. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look.

We moved here with our family and there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Schools in Fairview area are underrated. Kids love it here.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value food scene, you'll love it. The healthcare is genuinely excellent and I've found I love the pace of life here. My neighborhood (The Heights) is competitive and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Dallas, be prepared for the culture shock. traffic is completely different here. And Rising rent and home prices.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

As someone who grew up here, it exceeded my expectations. A lot has changed in the past few years though. housing market used to be much stable but now it's tough.

If you value dating scene, you'll love it. The community vibe is genuinely better than expected and I've found the quality of life is solid. My neighborhood (North) is reasonable and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Minneapolis, be prepared for the culture shock. food scene is completely different here. And Limited entertainment options.
