Reynoldsburg is underrated, change my mind

Hey, I relocated for work and Homes are going for about $230,300 on average. Poverty rate is 8.0%, which is pretty low. Rent is about $1,227/month for a decent place. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. What would you do? There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The city has invested a lot in new development. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Property taxes are high but you get good services. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a electrician who relocated here from Charlotte about 12 years ago. The main reasons were work and my partner's job.

Pros I've experienced:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Good schools in most areas
- Strong sense of community

Cons that are real:
- Traffic during rush hour is rough
- Road conditions need improvement

Financially, we've found it tough compared to where we came from. Lots of new construction which should help. Groceries are reasonable, gas is surprisingly good.

Socially, it exceeded my expectations. Hope this helps!.

Hot take but there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. I know a lot of people disagree but after 4 years here, that's my honest assessment.

As someone who grew up here, I genuinely enjoy living here. A lot has changed in the past few years though. community vibe used to be much stable but now it's solid.
