Honest thoughts on life in Rialto

OK so Just moved here 17 months ago and Homes are going for about $454,400 on average. The median home value here is around $454,400, which is pretty steep. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The city has invested a lot in new development. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that.

Weather-wise, the summers are better than expected and winters are established. You get used to it after the first year.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a project manager who relocated here from Charlotte about 6 years ago. The main reasons were a fresh start and quality of life.

Pros I've experienced:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Good internet infrastructure
- Diverse dining options

Cons that are real:
- Not very walkable outside downtown
- Chain restaurants dominate

Financially, we've found it tough compared to where we came from. It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. Groceries are developing, gas is better than expected.

Socially, I have mixed feelings honestly. It's not for everyone but it works for us..
