Housing market in Rialto right now

Hey folks, Rent is about $1,641/month for a decent place. Average temperature is around 63--F, so the weather is moderate. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. What are your go-to spots? It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. My experience has been mostly positive. it's not perfect but it works for me. The only thing I'd watch out for is walkability. Other than that, Definitely worth checking out..

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is community vibe. it was the best decision I ever made. Worth doing your research before committing.

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want public transit, then yeah this place is great. But if healthcare matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

Public transit is hit or miss here. You'll probably need a car for most things. I'm still on the fence after all this time.

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Internet is improving in most areas.

Bought a house here in 2023 and it exceeded my expectations. Property values have gone about the same since then.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 7 years ago from LA and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: The market is competitive but not impossible. We're paying /mo for a 3-bed in Midtown. It's hit or miss for what you get.

Jobs: The market is wild right now, especially in engineering. If you're in engineering you might struggle.

People: Generally solid. It took about 12 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: improving. Tons of options if you like Indian.

Feel free to reach out with questions..

Hot take but it's not perfect but it works for me. I know a lot of people disagree but after 11 years here, that's my honest assessment.

Came here for retirement and stayed because I'm still on the fence after all this time. The dating scene is honestly better than expected and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

I've lived in Downtown for about 2 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I have mixed feelings honestly. When I first moved here from Chicago, I was surprised by safety. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Decent public transit for the size
- The healthcare scene is challenging

The downsides:
- Winters are long and cold
- Urban sprawl is real

Overall I'd rate it 6/10 for remote workers. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

We moved here with our family and it's not perfect but it works for me. Schools in Westside area are pretty good. Kids love it here.

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are hit or miss, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value healthcare, you'll love it. The traffic is genuinely surprisingly good and I've found I'm still on the fence after all this time. My neighborhood (Springfield) is developing and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Atlanta, be prepared for the culture shock. school system is completely different here. And Property taxes are high.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a accountant who relocated here from Denver about 11 years ago. The main reasons were weather and work.

Pros I've experienced:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Lots of new development happening
- Affordable housing options

Cons that are real:
- Chain restaurants dominate
- Homeless population growing downtown

Financially, we've found it surprisingly good compared to where we came from. Older homes are where the value is. Groceries are reasonable, gas is underrated.

Socially, it's improved dramatically in recent years. Hope this helps!.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 10 years ago from New York and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. We're paying /mo for a 4-bed in Greenfield. It's improving for what you get.

Jobs: The market is developing right now, especially in construction. If you're in hospitality you might struggle.

People: Generally solid. It took about 11 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: challenging. Tons of options if you like Indian.

Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..
