Moving to Richfield with kids -good idea?

Military spouse here. Household incomes average around $135,774 in Richfield. Crime rate is something to consider -Richfield sits at 38.8 per 100K. The unemployment rate is 0.9%, which is pretty low. Homes are going for about $456,500 on average. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Let me know your thoughts. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The weather takes some getting used to. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Weather-wise, the summers are better than expected and winters are stable. You get used to it after the first year.

I'm a sales manager and I've found it's not perfect but it works for me. The community is pretty good and there's always something going on.

I work in consulting here and it's exactly what I was looking for. The job market for my field is tough. It's not for everyone but it works for us..

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a project manager who relocated here from Pittsburgh about 2 years ago. The main reasons were retirement and work.

Pros I've experienced:
- Four distinct seasons
- Affordable housing options
- Good airport with direct flights

Cons that are real:
- Limited high-paying job options
- Homeless population growing downtown

Financially, we've found it excellent compared to where we came from. Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. Groceries are stable, gas is surprisingly good.

Socially, it's not perfect but it works for me. It's not for everyone but it works for us..

Public transit is average here. You'll probably need a car for most things. it's been a really good experience overall.
