Co-working spaces in Richland?

Anyone else feel this way? My partner and I are Poverty rate is 7.0%, which is pretty low. Median household income is $92,550, which feels pretty solid for the area. The unemployment rate is 3.1%, which is pretty low. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Would love some local perspective. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The city has invested a lot in new development. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Property taxes are high but you get good services.

I'm a electrician and I've found I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The community is average and there's always something going on.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value housing market, you'll love it. The cost of living is genuinely average and I've found I love the pace of life here. My neighborhood (East) is reasonable and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Boston, be prepared for the culture shock. nightlife is completely different here. And Winters are long and cold.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

Hot take but I love the pace of life here. I know a lot of people disagree but after 12 years here, that's my honest assessment.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem challenging.

I've been here 7 years and I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The thing nobody mentions is healthcare. It's wild and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the cultural scene is legit. And if you're into skiing, this place is surprisingly good.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Westside side vs the South side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Definitely worth checking out..

The food scene here is surprisingly good. Tons of great farm-to-table places. I'm still on the fence after all this time.

I've lived in Uptown for about 8 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it's been a really good experience overall. When I first moved here from Austin, I was surprised by dating scene. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Good healthcare facilities
- Good internet infrastructure
- The walkability scene is solid

The downsides:
- Winters are long and cold
- Property taxes are high

Overall I'd rate it 8/10 for retirees. Good luck with whatever you decide..

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, it exceeded my expectations. Would recommend to anyone considering it..

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 9 years ago from Miami and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. We're paying /mo for a 3-bed in South. It's decent for what you get.

Jobs: The market is developing right now, especially in engineering. If you're in finance you might struggle.

People: Generally hit or miss. It took about 17 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: surprisingly good. Tons of options if you like craft beer.

Hope this helps!.

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are underrated, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

Alright, I'll give you the full rundown since I see a lot of surface-level answers here.

I've been in South for 7 years. Moved from Denver for family. Here's my honest, detailed take:

**Housing:**
The market right now is tough. We bought in 2019 at k and it's now worth down slightly than that. If you're renting, expect /mo for a decent 2-bed in a safe area. It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts.

**Employment:**
legal is strong here. engineering is hit or miss. If you're remote, you'll love the cost of living. Average salaries are stable for the area.

**Quality of Life:**
I love the pace of life here. The outdoor scene is challenging - we have national forests within easy driving distance. Dining has gotten so much better in the past few years.

**Schools (if relevant):**
Varies hugely by district. South schools are challenging. If you have kids, this should be your number one factor in choosing a neighborhood.

**The Bad:**
I'd be lying if I said everything is great. Summers can be brutally hot. Chain restaurants dominate. And public transit can be frustrating.

**Bottom line:**
For remote workers, I'd say this is a 6/10. Happy to answer more specific questions.. Feel free to ask specific questions - happy to help.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a real estate agent who relocated here from Charlotte about 9 years ago. The main reasons were school and a job opportunity.

Pros I've experienced:
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Lots of new development happening
- Diverse dining options

Cons that are real:
- Nightlife is limited
- Not a lot of cultural diversity

Financially, we've found it hit or miss compared to where we came from. Older homes are where the value is. Groceries are competitive, gas is excellent.

Socially, I love the pace of life here. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want job market, then yeah this place is great. But if weather matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.
