I'm a 36-year-old project manager and Average temperature is around 56--F, so the weather is moderate. Rent is about $1,895/month for a decent place. The weather takes some getting used to. What do you all think? Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 13 years ago from San Francisco and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in Highland. It's tough for what you get.
Jobs: The market is reasonable right now, especially in construction. If you're in finance you might struggle.
People: Generally challenging. It took about 10 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: tough. Tons of options if you like BBQ.
Happy to answer more specific questions..

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 2-bedroom. I genuinely enjoy living here. Compared to Salt Lake City it's decent.

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, it was the best decision I ever made. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 9 years ago from Miami and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: Older homes are where the value is. We're paying /mo for a 3-bed in Midtown. It's improving for what you get.
Jobs: The market is established right now, especially in tech. If you're in marketing you might struggle.
People: Generally hit or miss. It took about 10 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: hit or miss. Tons of options if you like Italian.
Hope this helps!.

Weather-wise, the summers are excellent and winters are growing. You get used to it after the first year.
