So, The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Worth the trade-offs? The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a contractor who relocated here from Salt Lake City about 5 years ago. The main reasons were work and school.
Pros I've experienced:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Strong job market in several industries
- Good airport with direct flights
Cons that are real:
- Property taxes are high
- Limited entertainment options
Financially, we've found it excellent compared to where we came from. Older homes are where the value is. Groceries are wild, gas is underrated.
Socially, it's been a really good experience overall. Definitely worth checking out..

- Decent public transit for the size
- Close to major attractions
- Good airport with direct flights
Cons that are real:
- Winters are long and cold
- Limited shopping options
Financially, we've found it improving compared to where we came from. The market is competitive but not impossible. Groceries are manageable, gas is tough.

My experience has been mostly positive. it's not perfect but it works for me. The only thing I'd watch out for is food scene. Other than that, No regrets on my end..
