Affordable areas near Richmond Heights?

Average temperature is around 76--F, so it's warm year-round. Poverty rate is 8.8%, which is pretty low. With a population of 9,489, Richmond Heights is a small town. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The suburbs are where most families end up. What neighborhoods would you suggest? The food scene here is surprisingly good. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The food scene here is surprisingly good. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The suburbs are where most families end up. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Property taxes are high but you get good services. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The city has invested a lot in new development. Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem excellent.

I've been here 9 years and it's exactly what I was looking for. The thing nobody mentions is walkability. It's growing and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the traffic is legit. And if you're into biking, this place is solid.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Oak Park side vs the Midtown side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..
