Thinking about relocating to Richmond Heights from Atlanta

Alright, There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Worth the trade-offs? There's a growing tech scene which is exciting.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a electrician who relocated here from Minneapolis about 3 years ago. The main reasons were cost of living and a fresh start.

Pros I've experienced:
- Decent public transit for the size
- Strong job market in several industries
- Four distinct seasons

Cons that are real:
- Homeless population growing downtown
- Limited entertainment options

Financially, we've found it decent compared to where we came from. Lots of new construction which should help. Groceries are reasonable, gas is pretty good.

Socially, it's not perfect but it works for me. No regrets on my end..

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want traffic, then yeah this place is great. But if dating scene matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem tough.

I've been here 15 years and it's not perfect but it works for me. The thing nobody mentions is traffic. It's reasonable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the community vibe is legit. And if you're into running, this place is average.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Springfield side vs the Pine Hills side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Good luck with whatever you decide..
