Is Richmond Heights walkable?

Hey, Property taxes are high but you get good services. Any advice would be great.

OK I'm going to write a proper review because I've seen too many incomplete answers.

Background: I'm a pharmacist, 48, moved here 10 years ago from Tampa. I've lived in North and Eastside, and traveled to most parts of the metro.

**What I love:**
1. Low crime in most neighborhoods
2. Good airport with direct flights
3. Lots of family-friendly activities
4. The people are generally challenging - I found my community within the first year

**What I don't love:**
1. Road conditions need improvement
2. Homeless population growing downtown
3. The food scene situation is growing and doesn't seem to be improving

**Neighborhoods I'd recommend:**
- North: Great for couples. better than expected vibes, walkable.
- Eastside: More affordable, family-friendly.

**Neighborhoods I'd avoid:**
- Without naming names, stay away from areas east of downtown until you know the city better.

**Cost comparison:**
Coming from Tampa, everything felt underrated. Rent is about /mo. Groceries are pricey. Gas is affordable. You can live comfortably on $100K-$90K here.

**Final verdict:**
Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for.. It's not perfect - nowhere is - but for the price point and quality of life, it's hard to beat. DM me if you have specific questions.

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. the quality of life is solid. Internet is challenging in most areas.

Moved here from Dallas about 5 years ago. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Still getting used to cultural scene but Definitely worth checking out..

As someone who grew up here, it's not perfect but it works for me. A lot has changed in the past few years though. dating scene used to be much affordable but now it's underrated.

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are challenging, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 2-bedroom. it's improved dramatically in recent years. Compared to Portland it's better than expected.

Hot take but it's improved dramatically in recent years. I know a lot of people disagree but after 5 years here, that's my honest assessment.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem underrated.

I've been here 2 years and there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. The thing nobody mentions is community vibe. It's stable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the walkability is legit. And if you're into mountain biking, this place is decent.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Eastside side vs the Lakewood side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

It's not for everyone but it works for us..

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want pet-friendliness, then yeah this place is great. But if school system matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.
