Moving to Richmond Hill -what should I know?

Been meaning to ask this. I relocated for work and Rent is about $1,757/month for a decent place. It's a a small town city with about 17,408 people. Crime rate is something to consider -Richmond Hill sits at 290.7 per 100K. With a population of 17,408, Richmond Hill is a small town. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Is this normal for Richmond Hill? There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years.

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are hit or miss, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

Hot take but it's not perfect but it works for me. I know a lot of people disagree but after 10 years here, that's my honest assessment.
