Been meaning to ask this. We're a young couple and Crime rate is something to consider -Richmond sits at 285.1 per 100K. With a population of 35,551, Richmond is a smaller city. Rent is about $815/month for a decent place. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. What would you do?
