Hey everyone, We're a young couple and Rent is about $860/month for a decent place. It's a a smaller city city with about 35,498 people. Crime rate is something to consider -Richmond sits at 205.7 per 100K. Household incomes average around $48,223 in Richmond. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Am I wrong here? Property taxes are high but you get good services. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level.
