Been meaning to ask this. I've been here for 9 years and Median household income is $48,223, which feels on the lower side for the area. Crime rate is something to consider -Richmond sits at 205.7 per 100K. With a population of 35,498, Richmond is a smaller city. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Property taxes are high but you get good services.
