Best neighborhoods in Richmond

Hi all, I've been here for 3 years and It's a a mid-size city city with about 228K people. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus.

I've lived in Downtown for about 5 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I genuinely enjoy living here. When I first moved here from Boston, I was surprised by healthcare. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- Strong sense of community
- The weather scene is improving

The downsides:
- Not a lot of cultural diversity
- Road conditions need improvement

Overall I'd rate it 8/10 for retirees. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..
