Working in Richmond — salaries realistic?

So, Born and raised here. It's a a mid-size city city with about 228K people. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Anyone in a similar situation?

Used to live on the South side, now on the Greenfield side. Completely different vibe. there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad.
